Dublin 18 Stepaside
A Cohesive Stone-Effect Design: Transforming a Stepaside Bathroom with Modern Elegance
When our Stepaside client first contacted our team, they wanted more than just a standard upgrade. They dreamed of transforming their dated bathroom into a highly functional, contemporary sanctuary that embraced clean lines, natural textures, and modern lighting.
The Brief
The request was clear and focused: a bathroom renovation in Dublin 18 that stripped away heavy, outdated fixtures in favour of a sleek, modern aesthetic. The client wanted a cohesive, textured space that combined an industrial-chic stone look with warm ambient lighting and smart storage solutions capable of handling daily routines without compromising on high-end style.
Our Approach
We selected large-format, grey stone-effect porcelain tiles to wrap the entire space from floor to ceiling. This monochromatic, terrazzo-inspired approach creates a seamless, spa-like environment while drastically reducing the visual clutter of grout lines.
To provide a crisp, clean contrast against the textured grey walls, we introduced a contemporary, high-gloss white floating vanity unit. Above the vanity, a statement LED-backlit mirror with rounded edges casts a warm, inviting glow that softens the cool tones of the stone.
The Renovation Process
We went beyond visual updates by completely overhauling the plumbing for the new wall-hung fixtures and walk-in shower. From installing proper ventilation to aligning the custom niche and chrome brassware, every detail was executed flawlessly.
The Result
The finished bathroom is a true modern sanctuary: textured, contemporary, and built to last. With its striking floor-to-ceiling stone-effect tiling, ambient LED lighting, and highly durable wet-area finishes, it delivers exactly what the client envisioned, an effortlessly stylish, low-maintenance space perfectly engineered for daily living.
